We’ve created well over 100 annual reports or summary reviews. In some cases editing in-house text, in others writing all copy from research and interviews, and usually advising on structure and content.
We’re used to working with clients at board and senior management level – while liaising with design consultancies, corporate comms teams, and investor relations specialists. We’re familiar with current best practice, where a linked narrative presents strategy together with the business model and a market overview, and also familiar with the move towards further integrating sustainability into reporting.
We’re also quick to understand the business fundamentals applying to any given market or industry sector.
Annual reports should be written so someone without specialist industry or financial knowledge can understand and benefit from reading them, so we believe using an experienced external writer is vitally important.
In retail, we’ve created annual report copy for Marks & Spencer (three) and Sainsbury’s (four). In financial services we’ve written for RBS, HBOS, Credit Suisse, Royal & Sun Alliance, Lloyd’s of London and several others.
Other reports include those across a wide variety of sectors, such as for Sky, Ericsson, Fujitsu Services and companies in mining, oil, healthcare, food and energy – as well as eleven reports for four different Russian industrial giants.
In Australia, to bring the impact of HealthDirect’s work in telehealth to life in its annual report for three years running, we interviewed patients, GPs and senior managers and told the stories behind the numbers.
